Steve Spurlin has been the teaching pastor of Cornerstone Bible Church since June 2010.  Steve and his wife Cheryl came to us from Viola, Arkansas, where Steve served as pastor of Viola First Baptist Church for five years.  He and Cheryl have two grown children: a daughter, Camryn, and a son, Christian, who is married to Mallory.

Pastor Spurlin received undergraduate degrees in Music and Psychology from Williams Baptist College and his Master of Theological Studies from Tyndale Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX. He earned a Doctor of Theological Studies from Scofield Graduate School (CA) and a Doctor of Philosophy from Trinity Graduate School of Apologetics and Theology and did further PhD studies at Calvary University in Kansas City, Missouri. He has also earned a certificate in Christian Apologetics from Talbot School of Theology.

In addition to his ministry as a pastor, Steve has served as a youth pastor and worship leader.  He is a gifted teacher with a passion for equipping the church for service and for reaching the lost for Christ.
