ITEM I.: THE MOST IMPORTANT 15 MINUTES IN A GUEST’S VISIT TO REDBUD.
(The First 5 Minutes and the Last 10 Minutes)
15 minutes that are the most important minutes that visitors are deciding if a church is friendly. For the visitors at Redbud Baptist Church, it is the first 5 minutes they arrive along with the last 10 minutes before they leave.
THE FIRST 5 MINUTES
Does the church look clean from the outside and parking lot?
Are the greeters friendly and on task?
Is the welcome center clearly marked, modern, manned and providing information for a visitor’s needs?
Are there signs clearly marking the key locations? (If you are a member, you already know where things are a visitor does not. Look at your areas as a visitor, not a member.)
Are the children’s area and preschool areas clean, organized, secure and friendly?
Are the people greeting the guest as they come into a classroom or sanctuary? (We need to get up from our area and approached the guest even if from across the room to make them feel welcome.)
Do we offer them to sit with us?
THE LAST 10 MINUTES
After the service, do we look for guests and introduce ourselves? (Before we talk to the pastor about his sermon.)
Do we spend time with them talking about them and answer the questions they may have? (Not asking them to volunteer or anything about ourselves.)
Offer to pray for them and then pray for them!
If you have the resources invite them to lunch!
REMEMBER RELATIONSHIPS IS WHERE WE REACH, GROW, SHOW JESUS and DISCIPLE!
Redbud is a friendly and loving church. Let it be shown. Let Christ be seen!
